- Educate patients and their families on respiratory care techniques and equipment usage.

Bachelor's Degree In Respiratory Therapy Or Related Field: A Reg Respiratory Therapist At Mercy Should Possess A Minimum Of A Bachelor's Degree In Respiratory Therapy Or A Related Field From An Accredited Institution.
Current State License: Candidates Must Have A Valid And Current State License To Practice As A Respiratory Therapist. This Ensures That They Meet The Minimum Requirements For Education And Training Set By The State.
Certified Respiratory Therapist (Crt) Or Registered Respiratory Therapist (Rrt) Credential: Mercy Requires Candidates For A Reg Respiratory Therapist Position To Have Either A Crt Or Rrt Credential From The National Board For Respiratory Care (Nbrc). This Demonstrates That The Candidate Has Met The National Standards For Respiratory Therapy.
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience: Mercy Prefers Candidates With At Least 2 Years Of Experience In A Clinical Setting, Preferably In A Hospital Or Healthcare Setting. This Ensures That The Candidate Has A Strong Understanding Of Respiratory Therapy Practices And Procedures.
Cpr Certification: Candidates Should Have A Current Certification In Basic Life Support (Bls) And Advanced Cardiac Life Support (Acls) From The American Heart Association. This Is Necessary For Providing Emergency Respiratory Care To Patients And Maintaining Their Safety.
