Job Description

At Mercy, we are looking for a compassionate and dedicated Radiologic Technologist to join our team. This position requires an individual who is detail oriented and has a passion for providing exceptional patient care. The ideal candidate will have an Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology as well as a current certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). The Radiologic Technologist will need to be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, have excellent communication skills, and demonstrate a commitment to patient safety and comfort. Responsibilities:

  1. Perform radiologic procedures in accordance with established standards and practices.
  2. Ensure that all radiologic procedures performed are done in a safe and efficient manner.
  3. Use radiation protection techniques to minimize radiation exposure to patients and staff.
  4. Provide clear instructions to patients and answer any questions they may have.
  5. Operate and maintain radiologic equipment and ensure that it is functioning properly.
  6. Identify any potential safety hazards and take corrective action as needed.
  7. Follow all department policies and procedures and maintain a clean work environment.
  8. Document patient information and results of examinations in electronic medical records.
  9. Communicate effectively with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
