Job Description

Are you a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse with experience in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU)?   1. Provide exceptional nursing care to critically ill children in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU).
  2. Utilize advanced nursing skills and knowledge to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care.
  3. Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients.
  4. Monitor and record patient vital signs, administer medications, and provide treatments as prescribed.
  5. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and caregivers to provide education and emotional support.
  6. Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of patient care.
  7. Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and safety protocols.
  8. Continuously assess and evaluate patient progress, adjusting care plans as necessary.
  9. Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge in pediatric nursing.
  10. Ensure compliance with regulatory agencies and standards of nursing practice.
  11. Act as an advocate for patients and their families, ensuring their needs and concerns are addressed.
  12. Maintain a compassionate and caring attitude towards patients and their families.
  13. Demonstrate strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills in high-pressure situations.
  14. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to promote a positive and collaborative work environment.
  15. Assist in the orientation and training of new nurses to the PICU.
  16. Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care.
  17. Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards at all times.
  18. Serve as a role model for nursing excellence and professionalism.

Job Qualifications
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (Acls) Certification.

  • Current And Valid Rn License In The State Of Employment.

  • Bachelor's Degree In Nursing Or Related Field From An Accredited Institution.

  • Excellent Communication And Critical Thinking Skills, With The Ability To Work Effectively In A Fast-Paced And High-Stress Environment.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In A Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (Picu) Setting.
