Medical Degree: A Physician - Neurologist Neurosurgeon At Mercy Must Possess A Doctor Of Medicine (Md) Or Doctor Of Osteopathic Medicine (Do) Degree From An Accredited Medical School.
Board Certification: The Ideal Candidate Should Be Board Certified In Both Neurology And Neurosurgery By The American Board Of Psychiatry And Neurology (Abpn) And The American Board Of Neurological Surgery (Abns).
Residency Training: The Candidate Should Have Completed A 7-Year Residency Training Program In Neurology And Neurosurgery, Which Includes 3 Years Of General Surgery And 4 Years Of Neurosurgery.
Valid License: A Valid Medical License Is Required To Practice Medicine In The State Of Employment. The Candidate Must Be In Good Standing With The State Medical Board And Have No History Of Disciplinary Action.
Experience: Mercy Is Seeking A Candidate With A Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Both Neurology And Neurosurgery. Previous Experience In A Hospital Or Healthcare Setting Is Preferred.
