  1. Conduct advanced interventions and procedures to diagnose and treat various heart conditions.
  2. Collaborate with other physicians and healthcare professionals to create individualized treatment plans for patients.
  3. Stay up-to-date with advancements in interventional cardiology and implement new techniques and technologies in patient care.
  4. Educate patients and their families about their condition and provide guidance for managing their health.
  5. Maintain accurate and detailed medical records for patients.
  6. Participate in research and clinical trials to further improve patient outcomes.
  7. Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a safe working environment for patients and staff.
  8. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and colleagues to ensure a positive patient experience.
  9. Continuously strive to improve patient satisfaction and quality of care.
  10. Comply with all legal and ethical standards in the practice of medicine.
  11. Attend conferences and workshops to enhance knowledge and skills.
  12. Supervise and train medical residents and fellows as necessary.
  13. Collaborate with the administrative team to develop and implement departmental policies and procedures.
  14. Provide leadership and guidance to other members of the cardiology department.
  15. Act as a liaison between Mercy and other healthcare facilities to coordinate patient care.
  16. Adhere to all HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality.

Job Qualifications
  • Medical Degree: A Physician - Interventional Cardiologist At Mercy Must Possess A Doctor Of Medicine (Md) Or Doctor Of Osteopathic Medicine (Do) Degree From An Accredited Medical School.

  • Board Certification: Mercy Requires That All Physician - Interventional Cardiologists Be Board Certified In Both Internal Medicine And Cardiology By The American Board Of Internal Medicine (Abim) Or The American Osteopathic Board Of Internal Medicine (Aobim).

  • Fellowship Training: Candidates Must Have Completed A Fellowship Program In Interventional Cardiology Accredited By The Accreditation Council For Graduate Medical Education (Acgme) Or The American Osteopathic Association (Aoa).

  • State Medical License: All Applicants Must Hold A Valid And Unrestricted Medical License To Practice In The State Where The Mercy Facility Is Located.

  • Experience: Mercy Prefers Candidates With At Least 3-5 Years Of Experience As A Practicing Interventional Cardiologist, With A Strong Track Record Of Successful Patient Outcomes And Technical Proficiency In Interventional Procedures Such As Angioplasty And Stent Placement.
