  1. Oversee the hospitalist program at our Rogers, AR location to ensure the highest quality of patient care.
  2. Lead and manage a team of hospitalists, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations.
  3. Develop and implement policies, procedures, and protocols to improve the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the hospitalist program.
  4. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care for patients.

  6. Serve as a resource and mentor for hospitalists, providing guidance and support in clinical decision-making and patient management.

  8. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and ensure compliance with all quality and safety standards.
  9. Foster a culture of teamwork, collaboration, and continuous learning within the hospitalist program.
  10. Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including hospital administration, medical staff, and community partners.
  11. Represent Mercy and the hospitalist program at meetings, conferences, and other events.
  12. Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation and records.
  13. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare providers to ensure a positive patient experience.
  14. Adhere to all ethical and professional standards of conduct.
  15. Continuously strive to improve the quality of healthcare services provided by Mercy.

Job Qualifications
  • Medical Degree And Board Certification: The Ideal Candidate For The Physician - Hospitalist Medical Director Position At Mercy Should Hold A Medical Degree From An Accredited Institution And Be Board Certified In Internal Medicine Or A Related Specialty.

  • Experience In Hospitalist Medicine: The Candidate Should Have A Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience Working As A Hospitalist, Preferably In A Leadership Or Directorial Role. This Experience Should Include Managing A Team Of Physicians And Overseeing Patient Care In A Hospital Setting.

  • Leadership And Management Skills: As The Medical Director, The Candidate Will Be Responsible For Leading And Managing A Team Of Hospitalists, As Well As Collaborating With Other Hospital Departments And Administration. Strong Leadership And Management Skills Are Essential For Success In This Role.

  • Knowledge Of Healthcare Regulations And Quality Standards: The Candidate Should Have A Solid Understanding Of Healthcare Regulations, Such As Hipaa And Medicare, As Well As Quality Standards And Best Practices In Hospitalist Medicine.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills: The Physician - Hospitalist Medical Director Will Be Working Closely With Patients, Their Families, Medical Staff, And Other Healthcare Professionals.
