Medical Degree: A Physician Applying For A Gastroenterology Job At Mercy Must Have A Medical Doctor (Md) Degree From An Accredited Medical School.
Board Certification: The Candidate Must Be Board Certified In Gastroenterology By The American Board Of Internal Medicine (Abim) Or The American Osteopathic Board Of Internal Medicine (Aobim).
Residency And Fellowship Training: The Candidate Must Have Completed A Residency In Internal Medicine And A Fellowship In Gastroenterology From An Accredited Program.
State Medical License: The Candidate Must Have A Valid And Unrestricted Medical License To Practice In The State Where The Mercy Facility Is Located.
Clinical Experience: The Candidate Should Have A Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Clinical Experience In The Field Of Gastroenterology, With A Focus On Diagnosing And Treating Digestive Disorders And Diseases. Experience In Performing Procedures Such As Endoscopies And Colonoscopies Is Also Preferred.
