  1. Diagnose and treat a variety of endocrine disorders, including diabetes, thyroid diseases, and hormonal imbalances.
  2. Perform thorough patient evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans.
  3. Monitor and manage chronic conditions, providing ongoing care and support to patients.
  4. Stay up-to-date on the latest developments in the field of endocrinology and incorporate new treatments and technologies into patient care.
  5. Coordinate with other healthcare professionals, including primary care physicians and specialists, to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care for patients.
  6. Educate patients and their families about their condition, treatment options, and self-management strategies.
  7. Utilize electronic medical records and other technology to accurately document patient care and communicate with other healthcare providers.
  8. Adhere to all ethical and legal standards in patient care and maintain patient confidentiality.
  9. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.
  10. Participate in continuing education and professional development activities to maintain and enhance clinical skills.
  11. Build and maintain positive relationships with patients, colleagues, and other healthcare professionals.
  12. Communicate effectively and compassionately with patients and their families to address any concerns or questions they may have.
  13. Demonstrate a strong commitment to providing high-quality, evidence-based care to patients.
  14. Comply with all hospital policies and procedures, as well as regulatory and accreditation standards.

Job Qualifications
  • Medical Degree: A Physician - Endocrinologist At Mercy Must Have A Doctor Of Medicine (Md) Or Doctor Of Osteopathic Medicine (Do) Degree From An Accredited Medical School.

  • Board Certification: Candidates Must Be Board Certified In Endocrinology By The American Board Of Internal Medicine (Abim) Or The American Osteopathic Board Of Internal Medicine (Aobim).

  • Residency Training: Applicants Should Have Completed A 3-Year Residency In Internal Medicine, Followed By A 2-3 Year Fellowship In Endocrinology.

  • State Medical License: A Valid And Unrestricted Medical License In The State Of Practice Is Required.

  • Clinical Experience: Mercy Seeks Candidates With A Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Clinical Experience In Endocrinology, Preferably In A Hospital Or Health System Setting.
