Medical Degree: A Physician Practicing Emergency Medicine At Mercy Must Possess A Medical Degree From An Accredited Institution. This Ensures That They Have Received The Necessary Education And Training To Provide Quality Care To Patients.
Board Certification: Candidates Must Be Board Certified In Emergency Medicine By The American Board Of Emergency Medicine (Abem) Or The American Osteopathic Board Of Emergency Medicine (Aobem). This Certification Demonstrates Their Knowledge And Skills In The Field Of Emergency Medicine.
State Medical License: The Physician Must Hold A Current And Unrestricted License To Practice Medicine In The State Where The Mercy Facility Is Located. This Ensures That They Are Legally Qualified To Provide Medical Care To Patients.
Experience In Emergency Medicine: Candidates Must Have A Minimum Of 3 Years Of Experience Working In An Emergency Medicine Setting. This Experience Allows Them To Handle A Wide Range Of Medical Emergencies And Make Quick And Accurate Decisions In High-Pressure Situations.
Availability And Flexibility: As A Prn (As Needed) Position, The Physician Must Be Available To Work On Short Notice And Have A Flexible Schedule To Cover Shifts As Needed. This Requires A Commitment To Patient Care And The Ability To Adapt To Changing Needs In The Emergency Department.
