At Mercy, we are looking for a passionate and dedicated Physician Assistant (PA) to join our team and provide quality patient care. The ideal candidate will possess the qualifications and skills necessary to carry out the responsibilities of this role with integrity and professionalism. The PA will be expected to work collaboratively with physicians, other healthcare professionals, and the patient to ensure the best possible health outcomes and provide personalized care. The successful candidate must have a Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies and have completed a Physician Assistant National Certifying Examination, as well as current NCCPA certification. Additionally, the candidate must have current licensure to practice as a Physician Assistant in the State of Maryland. A minimum of two years of experience as a Physician Assistant in a clinical setting is also required. We are looking for someone who is highly organized, detail-oriented, and has the ability to make sound clinical decisions in a fast-paced environment. The candidate should possess strong communication and interpersonal skills and have a commitment to providing the highest quality of healthcare. The successful candidate will have a compassionate and caring attitude, as well as a strong sense of patient advocacy. Responsibilities:
- Perform patient assessments and provide treatment in accordance with established standards and best practices.
- Collaborate with physicians, other healthcare professionals, and the patient to ensure the best possible health outcomes.
- Make sound clinical decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Provide personalized care to patients.
- Maintain current NCCPA certification and licensure to practice as a Physician Assistant in the State of Maryland.
- Keep accurate records of patient care and clinical documentation.
- Maintain a compassionate and caring attitude, along with a strong sense of patient advocacy.
- Participate in continuing education and professional development activities.
- Monitor patient progress and responses to treatments.
- Provide education and guidance to patients and families.
