Job Description

At Mercy, we are seeking a Physician Assistant (PA) to join our team and take an active role in providing high-quality care to the patients we serve. We are looking for an experienced, motivated individual who has a passion for helping people and making a positive impact in the community. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years of experience in a PA role and be certified to practice in the state of [STATE].We are looking for a personable, hardworking individual who has excellent communication and organizational skills. The PA will need to have a strong understanding of medical terminology and the ability to assess patient needs and develop appropriate plans of care. Responsibilities:

  1. Provide high-quality care to patients
  2. Assess patient needs and develop appropriate plans of care
  3. Communicate effectively with patients and other healthcare providers
  4. Utilize medical terminology to accurately document patient visits
  5. Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA standards
  6. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
  7. Educate patients on health and wellness topics
  8. Monitor patient progress and modify plans of care as necessary
  9. Ensure patient safety and provide patient education
  10. Stay up-to-date on new developments in medicine
  11. Participate in quality improvement initiatives
  12. Perform other duties as assigned

Job Qualifications
  • Knowledge Of Medical Terminology

  • Knowledge Of Anatomy And Physiology

  • Bachelor's Degree In A Health-Related Field

  • Master's Degree From An Accredited Pa Program

  • Current Certification From The National Commission On Certification Of Physician Assistants (Nccpa)

  • Current State License To Practice As A Pa

  • Ability To Maintain Professional Relationships With Physicians And Other Healthcare Providers

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills.
