  1. Assist experienced therapists in providing high-quality care to patients.
  2. Collaborate with the therapy team to develop and implement treatment plans for patients.
  3. Observe and document patient progress and communicate any changes or concerns to the therapist.
  4. Assist patients with exercises and activities to improve their mobility and independence.
  5. Educate patients and their families on proper techniques for at-home exercises and activities.
  6. Maintain a safe and clean environment for patients during therapy sessions.
  7. Adhere to all ethical and legal standards in the field of physical therapy.
  8. Continuously seek opportunities to improve skills and knowledge in the field of physical therapy.
  9. Provide emotional support and encouragement to patients during their therapy sessions.
  10. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for patients.
  11. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation.
  12. Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures.
  13. Demonstrate compassion and empathy towards patients and their families.
  14. Remain professional and maintain confidentiality at all times.
  15. Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas for improving patient care.
  16. Monitor and report any equipment or supply needs to the therapy team.
  17. Follow safety protocols to prevent injury to patients and staff.
  18. Maintain a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
  19. Communicate effectively with patients and their families, as well as with the therapy team.
  20. Adhere to all regulatory and compliance guidelines.

Job Qualifications
  • Associate's Degree In Physical Therapy Assistant Program: The First And Most Important Qualification For A Physical Therapy Assistant Job At Mercy Is Having A Degree In A Recognized Physical Therapy Assistant Program. This Ensures That The Candidate Has The Necessary Knowledge And Skills To Perform The Job Effectively.

  • Experience In A Healthcare Setting: Previous Experience In A Healthcare Setting, Preferably In Physical Therapy, Is Highly Preferred For Candidates Applying For A Physical Therapy Assistant Job At Mercy. This Experience Demonstrates The Candidate's Understanding Of The Healthcare Industry And Their Ability To Work In A Fast-Paced Environment.
