  1. Perform phlebotomy procedures on patients using proper techniques and protocols.
  2. Collect and label blood specimens accurately and ensure proper storage and transport.
  3. Maintain a clean and organized work area, following all safety and infection control protocols.
  4. Monitor and maintain inventory levels of phlebotomy supplies and equipment.
  5. Communicate effectively with patients, healthcare team members, and other staff to ensure quality care and service.
  6. Adhere to all HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
  7. Keep accurate and detailed records of patient information and test results.
  8. Participate in ongoing training and education to stay informed on best practices and new developments in phlebotomy.
  9. Follow established procedures for handling and disposing of hazardous materials.
  10. Provide exceptional customer service to patients, addressing any questions or concerns they may have.
  11. Work collaboratively with other members of the laboratory team to ensure efficient and timely processing of specimens.
  12. Serve as a positive representative of the organization by upholding its values of integrity and excellence.
  13. Maintain a professional and compassionate demeanor at all times, especially during challenging situations.
  14. Adhere to all safety protocols and report any safety concerns or incidents to appropriate personnel.
  15. Attend and actively participate in staff meetings and training sessions.
  16. Continuously seek opportunities for improvement and contribute to the development and implementation of new processes and procedures.
  17. Flexibly work weekends and night shifts as scheduled, maintaining a positive attitude and high level of productivity.
  18. Comply with all organizational policies, procedures, and regulations.
  19. Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor or laboratory manager.

Job Qualifications
  • Minimum Of 1 Year Experience As A Phlebotomist In A Healthcare Setting.

  • Completion Of A Phlebotomy Program From An Accredited Institution.

  • Proficient In Venipuncture And Capillary Puncture Techniques.

  • Current Certification As A Phlebotomist (Cpt) From A Recognized Organization Such As Ascp Or Nha.

  • Availability To Work Weekends And Nights As Needed.
