
Phlebotomist
Mercy is looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Phlebotomist to join our team and provide quality patient care. The ideal candidate for this role will have a passion for providing excellent customer service, as well as a strong working knowledge of phlebotomy techniques and procedures. To be successful in this role, you must be able to multi-task and work quickly and accurately under pressure. If you think you have what it takes to help us achieve our mission of providing the highest quality patient care, we would love to hear from you!Required Qualifications:• High school diploma or GED• Phlebotomy Technician Certification or equivalent• A minimum of one year of experience in a clinical setting• A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation• Ability to multi-task and work quickly and accurately in a fast-paced environment• Excellent customer service and communication skills• Proficiency with computers and electronic medical records
Responsibilities:
- Perform venipuncture and other phlebotomy procedures with accuracy and efficiency.
- Collect and process specimen samples for laboratory testing.
- Label, store, and transport specimens according to established protocols.
- Ensure accurate documentation and recordkeeping of patient information.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and HIPAA regulations.
- Provide excellent customer service to patients and other healthcare staff.
- Assist with additional clinical duties as needed.
- Perform quality control and maintenance of phlebotomy equipment and supplies.
- Maintain current knowledge of phlebotomy techniques and procedures.
