Job Description

At Mercy, we are looking for a Phlebotomist who is passionate about helping others and providing quality care. This individual should be dedicated to providing the highest standard of service, have excellent attention to detail, and be a team player. The successful candidate must have a certification or licensure as a Phlebotomist, a minimum of one year of experience in a healthcare setting, and a strong understanding of laboratory equipment and procedures. With a customer service-oriented mindset and exceptional communication skills, the Phlebotomist will ensure that our patients receive the best possible experience. We are seeking someone who is organized, dependable, and willing to go the extra mile for our patients.

Responsibilities:

  1. Draw blood from patients in a safe and efficient manner.
  2. Prepare specimens for laboratory testing and maintain accurate documentation.
  3. Provide exceptional customer service and support to patients.
  4. Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols and proper infection control measures.
  5. Educate patients on proper preparation for blood draws, and answer questions about the process.
  6. Monitor and maintain inventory of laboratory supplies.
  7. Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure the quality of patient care.
  8. Perform other duties as assigned.
