Job Description

If you are a compassionate and experienced healthcare professional who thrives on providing outstanding patient care, consider joining the Mercy team as a Phlebotomist! In this role, you will have the opportunity to be a part of our mission to ensure our patients feel safe, comfortable, and respected throughout their care journey.To be successful in this role, you will need a minimum of 1 year of experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in a phlebotomy or other laboratory role. You will be responsible for collecting and processing various blood specimens from patients in a timely and accurate manner, while adhering to all safety protocols. In addition, you must have excellent customer service skills to ensure our patients have a positive experience. A certification in phlebotomy from an accredited institution is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities: • Collect and process various blood specimens from patients in a timely and accurate manner • Ensure patients feel safe, comfortable, and respected during the care journey • Adhere to all safety protocols • Provide excellent customer service to ensure a positive patient experience • Maintain knowledge of laboratory processes and procedures • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of patient specimens • Assist in the training and orientation of new phlebotomy staff members
