
Phlebotomist
Mercy is looking for an experienced and compassionate Phlebotomist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for collecting blood specimens from patients for laboratory testing in accordance with established policies and procedures. We are looking for a professional who can demonstrate excellent communication and organizational skills and who is committed to providing excellent patient care.To be successful in this position, you should have a high school diploma or equivalent and have at least one year’s experience in a phlebotomy role. You must possess a valid state-issued license to practice phlebotomy and have the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. A strong attention to detail and the ability to stay organized are essential for this role. Additionally, you should have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with patients and other healthcare providers. Most importantly, you should have a passion for providing compassionate care to each and every patient.
Responsibilities:
- Collect blood specimens from patients for laboratory testing.
- Ensure that all collection procedures are performed in accordance with established policies and procedures.
- Maintain a high level of patient care and communication.
- Possess a valid state-issued license to practice phlebotomy.
