
Phlebotomist
At Mercy, we are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Phlebotomist to join our team. This position requires a compassionate and professional individual who is comfortable working with patients of all ages and backgrounds. The ideal candidate will have an excellent record of patient care and have the ability to adhere to Mercy's safety and quality standards. The successful candidate must have a high school diploma or equivalent and possess a valid phlebotomy license. Additionally, the candidate must have at least two years of experience in a clinical setting. This individual should be able to maintain a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Responsibilities:
- Draw blood from patients of all ages and backgrounds.
- Ensure patient safety and comfort during the procedure.
- Maintain accurate records of blood draws.
- Adhere to safety and quality standards set by Mercy.
- Perform quality control tests on specimen samples.
- Assist with laboratory procedures and instructions as needed.
- Maintain a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment.
- Establish and maintain effective communication and interpersonal relationships with patients, families, and healthcare staff.
- Assist in training new phlebotomists.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
