
Phlebotomist
Mercy is seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented Phlebotomist to join our team. We are looking for an individual who is passionate about providing exceptional patient care and has a commitment to excellence. In this role, you will be responsible for drawing blood from patients with skill and compassion, ensuring that samples are labeled correctly and stored properly.The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent and at least one year of experience in a clinical setting. The successful candidate will possess excellent communication and customer service skills, a strong attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Responsibilities:
- Perform blood draws from patients using proper technique and safety protocols.
- Label and store samples correctly in accordance with established procedures.
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients in a professional and compassionate manner.
- Maintain organized records of all specimens and results.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
- Follow all safety protocols and apply universal precautions when dealing with blood samples.
- Answer questions and provide education to patients and healthcare professionals regarding phlebotomy procedures.
- Collaborate with medical staff to ensure efficient and accurate patient care.
- Keep up to date with current regulations and standards of practice.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
