  • Greet patients and their families in a friendly and welcoming manner
  • Schedule and confirm patient appointments using electronic systems
  • Answer phone calls and respond to voicemails and emails promptly and professionally
  • Collect and verify patient demographic and insurance information
  • Check patients in and out for appointments, ensuring all necessary paperwork is completed accurately
  • Address patient inquiries and concerns, providing exceptional customer service at all times
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers and staff to ensure seamless and efficient patient flow
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations
  • Assist with insurance verification and billing processes
  • Handle cash and credit transactions accurately and securely
  • Keep work area clean, organized and well-stocked with necessary supplies
  • Attend staff meetings and trainings as required
  • Continuously strive to improve and enhance the patient experience at Mercy
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or management.
