  1. Greet and welcome patients in a friendly and professional manner.
  2. Assist patients with scheduling appointments and verifying insurance information.
  3. Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries from patients and their families.
  4. Maintain accurate and organized patient records.
  5. Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient and timely patient flow.
  6. Provide compassionate and empathetic support to patients and their families.
  7. Educate patients on our services and answer any questions they may have.
  8. Ensure confidentiality and HIPAA compliance in all interactions with patients.
  9. Handle patient complaints and concerns in a calm and efficient manner.
  10. Participate in training and professional development opportunities to stay updated on healthcare policies and practices.
  11. Communicate effectively with healthcare providers and team members to coordinate patient care.
  12. Collaborate with billing and coding departments to ensure accurate and timely processing of patient information.
  13. Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  14. Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols.
  15. Demonstrate a positive and professional attitude at all times.

Job Qualifications
  • Knowledge Of Medical Terminology And Procedures Related To Heart And Vascular Care: A Patient Service Rep At Mercy Must Have A Strong Understanding Of The Terminology And Procedures Used In Heart And Vascular Care In Order To Accurately Communicate With Patients And Medical Staff.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills: This Role Involves Constant Communication With Patients, Families, And Healthcare Professionals. A Qualified Candidate Should Possess Strong Verbal And Written Communication Skills And The Ability To Build Rapport With A Diverse Group Of Individuals.

  • Experience In A Healthcare Setting: Previous Experience Working In A Healthcare Setting, Preferably In A Heart And Vascular Unit, Is Highly Desirable. This Will Provide A Solid Foundation For Understanding The Unique Needs Of Patients In This Specialty Area.

  • Strong Organizational And Multitasking Abilities: The Patient Service Rep Will Be Responsible For Managing A High Volume Of Patient Inquiries, Scheduling Appointments, And Maintaining Accurate Records. The Ability To Prioritize Tasks, Stay Organized, And Multitask Effectively Is Crucial In This Role.
