Patient Care Technician (PCT)

At Mercy, we are looking for a Patient Care Technician (PCT) who will provide excellent care to our patients. We seek a hard-working and dedicated individual who has experience in a healthcare setting and is committed to providing compassionate and personalized care. Our ideal candidate will have a positive attitude and strong interpersonal skills, and will be able to work in a fast-paced environment with a high degree of professionalism.The successful candidate must have a high school diploma or GED and must possess strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. The candidate must also have prior experience in a healthcare setting and must possess a current certification as a Nursing Assistant or Patient Care Technician. The candidate should be able to work independently and as part of a team, and must have a commitment to providing quality and compassionate care to our patients.

Responsibilities:

1. Provide personalized and compassionate care to patients.
2. Maintain a positive attitude and professional demeanor at all times.
3. Develop and maintain strong interpersonal relationships with patients, families, and healthcare staff.
4. Ensure patient safety and comfort at all times.
5. Follow established policies and protocols for patient care.
6. Record patient medical information accurately and in a timely manner.
7. Assist with medical treatments and procedures as directed by nursing staff.
8. Monitor and report changes in patient’s condition to nursing staff.
9. Assist with the daily activities of living for patients with disabilities.
10. Assist with the transport of patients to and from treatment areas.
