
Patient Care Technician (PCT)
Mercy is seeking an experienced and compassionate Patient Care Technician (PCT) to join our patient care team. The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, the ability to multi-task, and a commitment to delivering quality care. As a PCT, you will be responsible for providing assistance to medical staff in the delivery of patient care, as well as performing basic patient care activities.To be successful in this role, you should have a high school diploma or equivalent, along with 1-2 years of experience in a healthcare setting. You must also be certified in Basic Life Support (BLS) or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR). We are looking for a team player who is passionate about providing quality care and who is willing to go above and beyond to ensure a positive patient experience. Responsibilities:
- Assist medical staff with the delivery of patient care, such as taking vital signs, setting up medical equipment, and helping with medical procedures.
- Perform basic patient care activities, such as changing bed linens, stocking supplies, and assisting with mobility.
- Educate patients and family members on treatments and home care.
- Document patient care activities in accordance with established protocols.
- Monitor patient condition and report any changes to the healthcare team.
- Respond to patient calls for help in a timely and compassionate manner.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for all patients.
- Follow all safety protocols, infection control procedures, and HIPAA standards.
- Adhere to the Mercy mission, vision, and values.
Knowledge Of Medical Terminology
