
Patient Care Technician (PCT)
At Mercy, our Patient Care Technicians (PCTs) are critical members of our healthcare team, providing compassionate and patient-focused care to ensure the best possible experience for our patients. As a PCT, you will be responsible for providing direct patient care, monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and assisting with basic clinical procedures. To ensure our patients receive the highest quality care, we are seeking qualified candidates who possess the following qualifications:-High school diploma or GED equivalent-Certification as a Nursing Assistant, EMT, or Phlebotomist-At least one year of experience in a healthcare setting-Excellent communication and interpersonal skills-Ability to work in a fast-paced environmentIf you are passionate about providing excellent care and contributing to the success of our team, we would love to hear from you!
Responsibilities of a Patient Care Technician:
- Provide direct patient care, including monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and assisting with basic clinical procedures.
- Ensure that patient care is delivered in a compassionate and patient-focused manner.
- Maintain accurate and complete medical records for all patients.
- Monitor patient progress and report any changes or concerns to the healthcare team.
- Assist in the preparation and maintenance of medical equipment and supplies.
- Follow safety protocols and infection control guidelines.
- Participate in regular training sessions to stay current on healthcare best practices.
- Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures.
- Provide support to other healthcare staff as needed.
