- Provide compassionate care to patients in the Rehab South department at Mercy.
- Assist patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and eating.
- Monitor and report any changes in patient's condition to the nursing staff.
- Create and maintain a safe and comfortable environment for patients.
- Help patients with mobility and exercises as prescribed by healthcare professionals.
- Administer medication and treatments as directed by nursing staff.

High School Diploma Or Equivalent: A Minimum Education Requirement For A Patient Care Associate-Pca At Mercy Would Be A High School Diploma Or Equivalent.
Certified Nursing Assistant (Cna) Certification: Many Hospitals, Including Mercy, Require A Pca To Have A Cna Certification. This Shows That The Candidate Has Completed The Necessary Training And Has The Skills To Assist With Patient Care.
Previous Experience In A Healthcare Setting: Prior Experience Working In A Healthcare Setting, Such As A Hospital Or Nursing Home, Is Often Preferred For A Pca Position. This Experience Can Demonstrate A Candidate's Understanding Of Patient Care And Ability To Work In A Fast-Paced Environment.
