As a Patient Ambassador, you will be the first point of contact for patients and their families, providing a warm and welcoming environment while advocating for their needs.   1. Greet and welcome patients and their families in a warm and friendly manner.
  2. Serve as the main point of contact for patients and their families, providing them with necessary information and support.
  3. Advocate for the needs and concerns of patients, ensuring they receive the best possible care.
  4. Demonstrate exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with patients, their families, and other healthcare professionals.
  5. Maintain a positive and empathetic attitude towards patients and their families, showing compassion and understanding in all interactions.
  6. Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure efficient and effective patient care.
  7. Provide information and assistance to patients regarding hospital policies, procedures, and resources.
  8. Monitor patient satisfaction and address any concerns or complaints in a timely and professional manner.
  9. Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to all HIPAA regulations.
  10. Continuously seek opportunities to improve patient experience and suggest ideas for process improvement.
  11. Participate in training and development programs to enhance skills and knowledge.
  12. Show commitment to the hospital's mission, values, and goals.
  13. Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols.
  14. Perform other duties as assigned by the hospital management.

  • Multitasking And Time Management Skills: Patient Ambassadors Often Have To Handle Multiple Tasks Simultaneously, Such As Attending To Patient Requests, Coordinating With Hospital Staff, And Managing Paperwork. Therefore, Strong Multitasking And Time Management Skills Are Necessary For This Role.

  • Customer Service Experience: Prior Experience In Customer Service Is Beneficial For A Patient Ambassador At Mercy, As They Will Be Responsible For Providing A High Level Of Service And Support To Patients And Their Families. This Includes Addressing Any Concerns Or Complaints In A Timely And Professional Manner.
