  1. Greet and welcome patients and visitors to the cardiovascular department.
  2. Assist patients in filling out necessary paperwork and gathering necessary information.
  3. Schedule appointments and maintain appointment calendar for the cardiovascular department.
  4. Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries from patients and other departments.
  5. Maintain patient records and update information as necessary.
  6. Coordinate and communicate with other departments, physicians, and staff to ensure efficient operations.
  7. Manage inventory and order supplies for the cardiovascular department.
  8. Assist with billing and insurance claims processes.
  9. Provide administrative support to the cardiovascular team, including typing, filing, and data entry.
  10. Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality.
  11. Participate in training and stay updated on medical terminology, procedures, and policies.
  12. Collaborate with other office assistants and team members to improve processes and efficiency.
  13. Handle incoming and outgoing mail, faxes, and emails in a timely and professional manner.
  14. Attend department meetings and take notes as needed.
  15. Assist with special projects and tasks as assigned by the cardiovascular team.
