Mercy is looking for an experienced Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our team and make a positive impact on our community. We are looking for a motivated individual who is committed to providing quality care to our patients. As our OT, you will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating occupational therapy services in accordance with established standards.To be successful in this role, you must have a Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy, a valid state license, and at least two years of clinical experience. You should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be detail-oriented, and be able to multitask. A strong knowledge of medical terminology and the ability to work with a variety of patients is essential. Responsibilities:
- Assess patient needs and develop individual treatment plans to meet their occupational therapy goals.
- Implement and evaluate occupational therapy interventions to ensure positive patient outcomes.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed to maximize progress.
- Educate patients and families on the importance of occupational therapy and provide guidance on how to use assistive devices.
- Create and maintain accurate and detailed patient records.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure a holistic approach to patient care.
- Remain up-to-date with current best practices in occupational therapy and incorporate them into treatment plans.
- Participate in continuing education and professional development activities.
