Job Description

Mercy is looking for an experienced Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our team and play a vital role in providing comprehensive care to patients with various physical and psychological disabilities. The ideal candidate must have a deep understanding of occupational therapy principles and practices, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively. We are looking for someone who is patient-centric, organized, and passionate about helping others. Responsibilities:

  1. Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with various physical and psychological disabilities.
  2. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients based on their needs and abilities.
  3. Provide advice and guidance to patients, their families, and other healthcare professionals on the implementation of occupational therapy interventions.
  4. Educate patients and their families on how to use therapeutic exercises and activities to improve their daily functioning.
  5. Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
  6. Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and provide input on patient care.
  7. Document patient evaluations, treatments, and progress in the medical record.
  8. Maintain current knowledge of best practices and developments in the field of occupational therapy.
  9. Comply with all applicable laws and regulations.

Job Qualifications
  • Current Cpr Certification

  • Bachelor's Degree In Occupational Therapy

  • Current Licensure As An Occupational Therapist In The State Of Practice

  • Ability To Work Collaboratively With A Variety Of Medical And Mental Health Professionals

  • Knowledge Of Current Standards Of Practice And Procedures For Occupational Therapy

  • Experience In Developing
