Job Description

We are looking for an Occupational Therapist (OT) to join the team at Mercy. The ideal candidate will have experience in helping individuals reach their highest level of independence in life and work through therapeutic activities. They must be a Licensed Occupational Therapist with excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. The individual must have a compassionate and caring attitude, as well as a commitment to making a positive difference in the lives of our patients.At Mercy, we are committed to providing our patients with the highest quality of care and are looking for an OT who shares this commitment. As an Occupational Therapist, you will have the opportunity to work with a variety of individuals and help them achieve their goals. Responsibilities:

  1. Assess patients’ abilities and design individualized treatment plans to improve function and independence
  2. Develop activities and exercises to help patients reach their goals
  3. Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
  4. Educate patients on safety and self-care techniques
  5. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure patient needs are met
  6. Provide resources and support to patients and their families
  7. Maintain accurate records of patient progress and treatments
  8. Maintain licensure and complete continuing education requirements
