OB Technician - PRN

We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated OB Technician to join our team on a PRN (as needed) basis. As an OB Technician, you will play a crucial role in supporting our labor and delivery unit by assisting with patient care and ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for new mothers and their babies. 1. Provide hands-on assistance to healthcare professionals during labor and delivery procedures.
2. Help prepare and maintain the labor and delivery unit for patient care.
3. Assist with patient positioning and comfort measures during labor and delivery.
4. Monitor and record vital signs and intake/output for patients.
5. Prepare and stock delivery carts and other necessary equipment.
6. Assist with fetal monitoring and other procedures as directed by healthcare professionals.
7. Follow infection control protocols to ensure a safe and clean environment for patients.
8. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care activities.
9. Communicate effectively and professionally with patients and their families.
10. Collaborate with the healthcare team to provide high-quality and compassionate care.
11. Participate in continuing education and training to stay updated on best practices and procedures.
12. Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, as well as regulatory standards.
13. Maintain confidentiality of patient information and follow HIPAA guidelines.
14. Report any concerns or issues to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
15. Attend staff meetings and actively contribute to improving processes and patient care.
