
Nutrition Assistant

- Collaborate with Registered Dietitians to create and implement individualized meal plans for patients.
- Educate patients and their families on proper nutrition and healthy eating habits.
- Monitor and record patients' food and fluid intake, as well as any dietary restrictions.
- Assist with meal preparation and distribution, ensuring all meals meet dietary guidelines and restrictions.
- Conduct nutritional assessments and screenings to identify potential nutrition-related issues.
- Maintain accurate and organized records of patient nutrition information.
- Communicate with healthcare team members to provide updates on patients' nutritional status and progress.
- Stay up-to-date on current nutrition guidelines and research to provide the most relevant and evidence-based information to patients.
- Participate in patient education programs and community outreach events to promote healthy eating and nutrition.
- Adhere to all safety and sanitation protocols while handling and preparing food.
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients and their families, addressing any concerns or questions they may have.
- Assist with special dietary requests and accommodations for patients with specific needs or restrictions.
- Collaborate with food service staff to ensure meals are delivered in a timely and efficient manner.
- Maintain inventory of nutrition supplies and communicate any needs to appropriate staff.
- Continuously seek opportunities for professional development and growth within the field of nutrition.
Bachelor's Degree In Nutrition, Dietetics, Or A Related Field.
Previous Experience In A Clinical Or Hospital Setting, Preferably In A Nutrition-Related Role.
Knowledge Of Nutrition Principles And Guidelines, Including The Dietary Guidelines For Americans And Medical Nutrition Therapy.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Effectively Interact With Patients And Healthcare Professionals.
Ability To Work Independently As Well As Part Of A Multidisciplinary Team To Provide High-Quality Nutrition Care To Patients.
