Job Description

Mercy is seeking a dedicated Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Sleep Medicine team.   • Conduct assessments and evaluations of patients with sleep disorders to determine appropriate treatment plans
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding sleep disorders, treatment options, and lifestyle changes that can improve sleep health
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as sleep studies, to aid in diagnosis and treatment planning
  • Prescribe and manage medications for sleep disorders, as well as monitor and adjust dosages as needed
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as physicians and therapists, to develop comprehensive treatment plans for patients
  • Maintain accurate and thorough medical records, including documenting patient progress and updating treatment plans as needed
  • Stay current with advancements and developments in the field of sleep medicine through ongoing education and professional development
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient progress and coordinate care
  • Adhere to all relevant laws, regulations, and ethical standards in providing care to patients
  • Foster a welcoming and compassionate environment for patients, promoting a positive patient experience
  • Continuously assess and improve the quality of care provided, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions.

Job Qualifications
  • Graduate Degree In Nursing Or Physician Assistant Studies: Candidates For This Position Should Have A Master's Degree In Nursing Or Physician Assistant Studies From An Accredited Program.

  • State Licensure Or Certification: Candidates Must Be Licensed As A Nurse Practitioner Or Physician Assistant In The State Of Employment And Must Maintain Current Certification.

  • Specialized Training In Sleep Medicine: Applicants Should Have Completed Specialized Training Or Have Experience In Sleep Medicine, Including The Diagnosis And Treatment Of Sleep Disorders.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills: This Position Requires Working Closely With Patients, Physicians, And Other Healthcare Professionals, So Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills Are Essential.

  • Ability To Work Independently: The Nurse Practitioner Or Physician Assistant In Sleep Medicine At Mercy Will Have A High Level Of Autonomy And Must Be Able To Work Independently, Making Critical Decisions In The Diagnosis And Treatment Of Sleep Disorders.
