Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor Of Science In Nursing (Bsn) Degree From An Accredited Institution: A Bsn Degree Is The Minimum Educational Requirement For The New Grad Nursing - Graduate Nurse Residency Program At Mercy. This Shows That The Candidate Has Completed A Rigorous And Comprehensive Nursing Program, Preparing Them For The Responsibilities Of A Registered Nurse.

  • Current Rn Licensure In The State Of Employment: Candidates Must Have A Current And Unrestricted Rn License In The State Where They Will Be Practicing As A Registered Nurse. This Ensures That They Have Met All The Necessary Requirements To Practice Nursing In That State.

  • Strong Academic Performance: Candidates Should Have A Strong Academic Record, Demonstrating Their Ability To Excel In Their Nursing Courses. This Includes A Minimum Gpa Requirement, As Well As Any Honors Or Awards Received During Their Nursing Education.

  • Completion Of A Clinical Rotation Or Externship In A Hospital Setting: Prior Hands-On Experience In A Hospital Setting Is Highly Valued In The New Grad Nursing - Graduate Nurse Residency Program At Mercy. Candidates Who Have Completed A Clinical Rotation Or Externship In A Hospital Setting Have Gained Valuable Skills And Knowledge That Will Prepare Them For The Demands Of The Program.

  • Passion For Patient-Centered Care: Mercy Values Candidates Who Are Passionate About Providing High-Quality, Patient-Centered Care. This Means Having A Strong Commitment To Meeting The Physical, Emotional, And Spiritual Needs Of Patients And Their Families.
