- Perform various laboratory tests and procedures accurately and efficiently.
- Follow standard operating procedures and maintain quality control measures to ensure accurate and reliable results.
- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, troubleshoot any issues, and perform routine maintenance.
- Report and document test results in a timely and accurate manner.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care.
- Continuously monitor and evaluate quality control measures to maintain high standards of patient care.
- Stay updated on industry developments, new technologies, and advancements in laboratory testing.
- Provide guidance and support to other laboratory staff and students.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of all laboratory procedures and results.

Bachelor's Degree In Medical Technology Or Related Field: A Minimum Of A Bachelor's Degree In Medical Technology Or A Related Field, Such As Clinical Laboratory Science, Is Typically Required For A Medical Technologist/Mlt-Prn Position At Mercy.
Ascp Certification: Mercy May Require Applicants To Have Certification From The American Society For Clinical Pathology (Ascp) As A Medical Laboratory Scientist (Mls) Or Medical Laboratory Technician (Mlt).
Previous Laboratory Experience: Prior Experience Working In A Clinical Laboratory Setting Is Preferred For A Medical Technologist/Mlt-Prn Job At Mercy. This Can Include Experience Gained Through Internships Or Relevant Work Experience.
Proficiency In Performing Laboratory Tests And Operating Equipment: Candidates Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Laboratory Procedures And Protocols, As Well As The Ability To Accurately Perform A Variety Of Tests Using Laboratory Equipment And Instrumentation.
Excellent Communication And Teamwork Skills: As A Medical Technologist/Mlt At Mercy, The Ability To Effectively Communicate With Medical Staff, Patients, And Colleagues Is Essential. Candidates Should Also Be Able To Work Well In A Team-Oriented Environment And Collaborate With Others To Achieve Common Goals.
