Medical Laboratory Technologist

We are looking for an experienced and highly-skilled Medical Laboratory Technologist to join the Mercy team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing high-quality laboratory services and will have a strong attention to detail. The Medical Laboratory Technologist will be responsible for providing accurate and timely lab results to patients and healthcare providers.The ideal candidate must possess the following qualifications: a Bachelor of Science in Medical Laboratory Science or equivalent, certification as a Medical Laboratory Technologist (MLT) from a recognized accrediting body, and at least two years of experience working in a diagnostic laboratory setting. The candidate must also have knowledge of laboratory protocols, quality control procedures, and the principles and techniques of hematology, chemistry, microbiology, virology, and immunology. This position requires excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities:

1. Maintain accurate and timely laboratory results and records.
2. Perform laboratory tests according to established protocols.
3. Ensure that laboratory results are accurate and reliable.
4. Monitor and maintain quality control standards in the laboratory.
5. Perform preventative maintenance on laboratory equipment.
6. Utilize laboratory information systems to record and report test results.
7. Participate in laboratory inventory management.
8. Maintain a safe and secure working environment in the laboratory.
9. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide quality patient care.
10. Ensure compliance with state, federal, and other applicable regulations.
