Job Description

If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you as a Medical Assistant in our Women's Health department at Mercy. As a vital member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work alongside skilled providers and support women's health services through a variety of clinical and administrative tasks.   1. Provide exceptional care to women of all ages by assisting with various medical procedures and treatments.
  2. Collaborate with providers to ensure efficient and effective delivery of women's health services.
  3. Perform administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, maintaining medical records, and verifying insurance information.
  4. Conduct patient assessments and record vital signs, medical history, and current health concerns.
  5. Educate patients on various health topics, including preventive care and treatment plans.
  6. Communicate with patients in a compassionate and empathetic manner, addressing any questions or concerns they may have.
  7. Follow all safety and infection control protocols to ensure a safe and clean environment for patients and staff.
  8. Assist with minor surgical procedures, including preparing instruments and maintaining a sterile field.
  9. Coordinate referrals and follow-up appointments for patients as needed.
  10. Maintain compliance with all HIPAA regulations and ethical standards.
  11. Collaborate with other medical assistants and healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care.
  12. Attend and actively participate in team meetings and trainings.
  13. Continuously strive to improve patient satisfaction by providing high-quality care and addressing any issues or concerns promptly.
  14. Stay updated on current trends and best practices in women's healthcare to ensure the delivery of evidence-based care.
  15. Demonstrate a positive and professional attitude towards patients, colleagues, and superiors.

Job Qualifications
  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Provide Compassionate Care To Patients.

  • Certification As A Medical Assistant (Cma) From An Accredited Program.

  • Minimum Of 1 Year Working Experience In A Clinical Setting, Preferably In Women's Health.

  • Knowledge And Understanding Of Women's Health Issues, Procedures, And Terminology.

  • Proficiency In Electronic Medical Records (Emr) And Medical Office Software.
