  1. Provide high-quality and compassionate care to patients in the Podiatry department.
  2. Collaborate with podiatrists and other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive foot and ankle care to patients.
  3. Assist with patient intake, including taking vital signs, updating medical history, and preparing patients for procedures.
  4. Maintain accurate and organized medical records for each patient.
  5. Ensure that all equipment and supplies are stocked and properly maintained.
  6. Administer medications and treatments under the direction of the podiatrist.
  7. Educate patients on proper foot care and post-procedure instructions.
  8. Communicate effectively with patients, their families, and other healthcare professionals.
  9. Multitask and prioritize tasks to ensure efficient and timely patient care.
  10. Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols.
  11. Maintain patient confidentiality and privacy at all times.
  12. Continuously seek opportunities for personal and professional development.
  13. Demonstrate a positive attitude and maintain a professional demeanor at all times.
  14. Comply with all organizational policies and procedures.

Job Qualifications
  • Certification As A Medical Assistant: A Valid Certification As A Medical Assistant Is Required For This Position At Mercy. This Certification Ensures That The Candidate Has Completed A Recognized Training Program And Has The Necessary Knowledge And Skills To Perform The Duties Of A Medical Assistant In A Podiatry Setting.

  • Experience In Podiatry: Mercy Is Seeking Candidates With Prior Experience In A Podiatry Setting. This Experience Should Include Knowledge Of Podiatric Procedures, Equipment, And Terminology, As Well As Experience In Assisting With Foot And Ankle Examinations, Procedures, And Surgeries.

Therefore, Candidates Should Possess A Strong Understanding Of Ehr Systems And Be Proficient In Using Them To Document Patient Information.
