
Medical Assistant - Pediatrics

- Assist physicians in providing medical care to pediatric patients by taking vitals, preparing exam rooms, and assisting with procedures.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records for pediatric patients.
- Administer medications and vaccines as directed by physicians.
- Educate patients and their families on proper care and treatment plans.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and physicians to ensure a positive and comfortable experience for all.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including stocking necessary supplies and equipment.
- Follow all safety and infection control protocols to ensure the health and safety of patients and staff.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care for pediatric patients.
- Comfort and reassure pediatric patients and their families during appointments and procedures.
- Ensure confidentiality and privacy of all patient information in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
- Attend training and continuing education opportunities to stay updated on the latest medical procedures and techniques.
- Demonstrate compassion, empathy, and patience in all interactions with pediatric patients and their families.
- Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, as well as state and federal regulations, in the performance of job duties.
- Provide support and assistance to other medical staff members as needed.
- Continuously strive to improve patient care by actively seeking feedback and implementing suggestions for improvement.
Certified Medical Assistant (Cma) Or Registered Medical Assistant (Rma) Credentials
Minimum Of 1-2 Years Of Experience In A Pediatric Medical Setting, Including Knowledge Of Child Development And Growth Milestones
Proficient In Electronic Medical Record (Emr) Systems And Medical Terminology Specific To Pediatrics
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Effectively With Children And Their Families
Knowledge Of Pediatric Medication Dosages And Administration Methods, As Well As Proper Handling Of Pediatric Medical Equipment And Supplies.
