Job Description

Welcome to Mercy Pediatric Clinic, where we provide compassionate and comprehensive healthcare services to children of all ages. We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Medical Assistant to join our team and make a positive impact on the lives of our young patients. As a Medical Assistant at our clinic, you will play a vital role in assisting our providers and ensuring the highest quality of care for our patients.   1. Greet and welcome patients and their families with a friendly and professional demeanor.
  2. Assist providers with patient examinations and procedures.
  3. Prepare exam rooms and ensure they are clean and stocked with necessary supplies.
  4. Collect and record patient medical history and vital signs accurately.
  5. Administer vaccinations and medications as directed by providers.
  6. Perform basic lab tests, such as urine and blood tests, and accurately record results.
  7. Schedule patient appointments and maintain appointment calendars.
  8. Answer phone calls, take messages, and direct inquiries to appropriate staff members.
  9. Maintain patient confidentiality and ensure HIPAA compliance at all times.
  10. Communicate and collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide coordinated care for patients.
  11. Assist with patient education by providing information on medications, treatments, and follow-up care.
  12. Keep track of medical supplies and equipment and ensure they are properly stocked and maintained.
  13. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and charts.
  14. Follow proper infection control protocols to maintain a safe and clean environment.
  15. Uphold clinic policies and procedures to ensure efficient and effective operations.
  16. Continuously seek opportunities to improve patient care and clinic processes.
  17. Attend staff meetings and training sessions as required.
  18. Adhere to all legal and ethical standards in the healthcare field.
  19. Perform other duties as assigned by the clinic manager or providers.

Job Qualifications
  • Certified Medical Assistant (Cma) Or Registered Medical Assistant (Rma) Credentials

  • Prior Experience Working In A Pediatric Clinic Or With Pediatric Patients

  • Knowledge Of Medical Terminology And Procedures Specific To Pediatrics

  • Proficiency In Electronic Health Record (Ehr) Systems

  • Ability To Multitask, Prioritize, And Work Efficiently In A Fast-Paced Environment
