Job Description

  1. Provide compassionate and quality care to patients in accordance with Mercy's mission and values.
  2. Assist healthcare team members in delivering patient care, including taking vital signs, preparing treatment rooms, and performing basic medical procedures.
  3. Maintain patient records and update electronic health records accurately and efficiently.
  4. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient care.
  5. Prepare patients for examinations and assist healthcare providers during procedures.
  6. Administer medications and injections as directed by healthcare providers.
  7. Assist with scheduling appointments, managing patient flow, and ensuring timely and efficient care.
  8. Ensure proper sanitation and maintenance of medical equipment and supplies.
  9. Keep up-to-date on medical terminology, procedures, and protocols to provide accurate and current information to patients and healthcare team members.
  10. Adhere to all relevant laws, regulations, and policies, including HIPAA, to protect patient privacy and confidentiality.
  11. Participate in continuing education and training to maintain and improve skills and knowledge.
  12. Support a positive and collaborative work environment by communicating effectively and working together with other team members.
  13. Demonstrate a commitment to excellence and continuous improvement in patient care and job performance.
  14. Handle patient inquiries, concerns, and complaints with empathy, professionalism, and in accordance with Mercy's policies and procedures.
  15. Other duties as assigned by the healthcare team or supervisor.

Job Qualifications
  • Certified Medical Assistant (Cma) Credentials From An Accredited Program.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience Working As A Medical Assistant In A Clinical Setting.

  • Strong Knowledge And Understanding Of Medical Terminology, Procedures, And Equipment.

  • Excellent Interpersonal And Communication Skills, With The Ability To Provide Compassionate Care To Patients.

  • Proficiency In Electronic Medical Record (Emr) Systems And Other Computer Skills.
