Valid Massage Therapy License: Candidates Must Possess A Valid License To Practice Massage Therapy In The State Where Mercy Is Located.
Minimum Education And Training: A Minimum Of 500 Hours Of Massage Therapy Training From An Accredited Program Is Required. Additional Certifications And Training In Specialized Modalities May Also Be Preferred.
Experience In A Healthcare Setting: Previous Experience Working In A Healthcare Setting, Such As A Hospital Or Clinic, Is Highly Desirable. This Demonstrates An Understanding Of Medical Terminology And The Ability To Work With Patients Who May Have Specific Medical Needs.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills: As A Massage Therapist At Mercy, Candidates Must Be Able To Effectively Communicate With Patients, Colleagues, And Other Healthcare Professionals. Excellent Interpersonal Skills Are Also Necessary To Create A Comfortable And Trusting Environment For Patients.
Physical Fitness And Stamina: The Role Of A Massage Therapist Requires Prolonged Periods Of Standing, Bending, And Using Physical Strength To Administer Massage Techniques. Candidates Must Be Physically Fit And Possess The Stamina To Perform These Tasks For Extended Periods Of Time.
