  1. Oversee and manage the daily operations of the clinical pharmacy department at Mercy.
  2. Ensure that all clinical pharmacy services are provided in accordance with the highest standards of quality and patient care.
  3. Develop and implement policies and procedures for the clinical pharmacy department in line with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
  4. Monitor and evaluate the performance of clinical pharmacy staff, providing ongoing feedback and coaching to ensure high levels of productivity and quality.
  5. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement medication therapy management plans for patients.
  6. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all medications and patient prescriptions, ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards.
  7. Oversee the procurement, storage, and distribution of pharmaceuticals and other medical supplies within the clinical pharmacy department.
  8. Develop and maintain relationships with pharmaceutical suppliers, negotiating contracts and pricing to ensure cost-effective and timely delivery of medications.
  9. Keep abreast of new developments and advancements in the field of clinical pharmacy, and implement changes to improve patient care and operational efficiency.
  10. Serve as a resource and advisor to other healthcare professionals, providing guidance and support on medication-related issues and concerns.
  11. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and ensure that the clinical pharmacy department meets all accreditation and regulatory requirements.
  12. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment to promote teamwork and enhance employee engagement.
  13. Handle any patient complaints or concerns related to clinical pharmacy services, and take appropriate action to address and resolve them.
  14. Develop and manage the clinical pharmacy budget, ensuring that resources are allocated effectively and efficiently.
  15. Act as a role model and exemplify Mercy's mission, values, and standards of behavior in all interactions with patients, colleagues, and the community.

Job Qualifications
  • Doctor Of Pharmacy (Pharmd) Degree From An Accredited Institution

  • Active And Unrestricted Pharmacist License In The State Of Employment

  • Minimum Of 5 Years Experience In A Clinical Pharmacy Setting

  • Strong Leadership And Management Skills, With A Proven Track Record Of Success In Managing A Team

  • In-Depth Knowledge Of Pharmacy Operations, Including Medication Dispensing, Inventory Management, And Regulatory Compliance
