  1. Conduct mammography screenings and diagnostic exams according to established protocols and guidelines.
  2. Operate and maintain mammography equipment, ensuring its proper functionality and safety at all times.
  3. Prepare patients for mammography procedures, including explaining the process and answering any questions or concerns.
  4. Position patients correctly and adjust equipment settings to obtain the best possible images.
  5. Maintain accurate and detailed records of all procedures and patient information.
  6. Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to interpret and analyze mammography images.
  7. Ensure patient comfort and provide emotional support during procedures.
  8. Follow safety protocols and infection control measures to maintain a safe and clean environment for patients and staff.
  9. Continuously stay updated on advancements and changes in mammography technology and procedures.
  10. Provide education and guidance to patients regarding pre- and post-procedure care.
  11. Adhere to all ethical and legal standards in patient care and confidentiality.
  12. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals in the development and implementation of quality improvement initiatives.
  13. Attend and actively participate in departmental meetings and trainings.
  14. Maintain a positive and professional demeanor when interacting with patients, colleagues, and other staff members.

Job Qualifications

  • Valid Mammography Technologist Certification: The Ideal Candidate Should Possess A Valid Certification From The American Registry Of Radiologic Technologists (Arrt) In Mammography. This Certification Ensures That The Candidate Has The Necessary Knowledge And Skills To Perform Mammography Procedures Accurately And Safely.

  • Proficiency In Operating Mammography Equipment: The Candidate Should Have Experience In Operating All Types Of Mammography Equipment, Including Digital And 3D Tomosynthesis Machines. They Should Also Be Familiar With Image Quality Control And Possess The Ability To Troubleshoot Technical Issues.

  • Knowledge Of Breast Anatomy And Pathology: The Candidate Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of Breast Anatomy And Be Able To Identify Various Abnormalities And Pathologies On Mammography Images. This Knowledge Is Crucial In Accurately Interpreting Mammograms And Providing High-Quality Patient Care.

  • Excellent Communication And Patient Care Skills: A Mammography Technologist At Mercy Should Possess Excellent Communication Skills To Effectively Communicate With Patients Before, During, And After The Procedure. They Should Also Be Able To Provide Compassionate And Patient-Centered Care To Ensure A Positive Patient Experience.

  • Compliance With Safety Standards And Protocols: The Candidate Should Be Well-Versed In Radiation Safety Standards And Protocols To Ensure The Safety Of Patients, Themselves, And Other Healthcare Professionals. They Should Also Have A Good Understanding Of Infection Control Protocols And Be Able To Maintain A Clean And Safe Environment For Patients And Staff.
