As an LPN in our Cardiac Progressive Care unit, you will work alongside a team of dedicated healthcare professionals to provide exceptional care to our patients with cardiac conditions.   1. Provide compassionate and personalized care to patients with cardiac conditions.
  2. Collaborate with a team of healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients.
  3. Monitor and assess patients' cardiac status, including vital signs, lab results, and symptoms.
  4. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
  5. Educate patients and their families about cardiac conditions, treatments, and self-care.
  6. Maintain accurate and thorough patient records and documentation.
  7. Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, as well as state and federal regulations.
  8. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members.
  9. Respond to emergencies and provide timely and appropriate interventions.
  10. Stay updated on current trends and developments in cardiac care and incorporate new knowledge into practice.
  11. Demonstrate empathy, compassion, and professionalism when interacting with patients, families, and colleagues.
  12. Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes.
  13. Prioritize and manage workload effectively to ensure high-quality and timely care.
  14. Maintain a safe and clean patient environment.
  15. Adhere to infection control and safety protocols.
  16. Demonstrate a commitment to ongoing learning and professional development.

Job Qualifications
  • Current Lpn Licensure: The Candidate Must Possess A Valid And Current Lpn License In The State Where The Position Is Located.

  • Specialized Training In Cardiac Care: The Candidate Should Have Completed Specialized Training In Cardiac Care, Including Courses On Cardiac Monitoring, Treatment Interventions, And Medication Administration.

  • Experience In Progressive Care: A Minimum Of 1-2 Years Of Experience In A Progressive Care Or Cardiac Care Setting Is Preferred. This Will Ensure The Candidate Is Familiar With The Specific Challenges And Procedures Involved In Caring For Patients With Cardiac Conditions.

  • Knowledge Of Electronic Health Records (Ehr): Mercy Uses Electronic Health Records To Manage Patient Information, So The Candidate Should Have Experience And Proficiency In Using Ehr Systems.

  • Strong Communication Skills: The Candidate Should Possess Excellent Communication Skills To Effectively Collaborate With The Interdisciplinary Team And Communicate With Patients And Their Families. This Includes Being Able To Provide Clear And Concise Instructions, As Well As Being Able To Document Patient Care Accurately.
