  1. Perform laboratory tests and procedures accurately and efficiently during the night shift.
  2. Monitor and maintain inventory levels of laboratory supplies and equipment.
  3. Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures while handling potentially hazardous materials.
  4. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure timely and accurate delivery of laboratory results.
  5. Record and maintain accurate documentation of all laboratory procedures and results.
  6. Troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues that may arise during the night shift.
  7. Follow established quality control protocols to ensure accuracy and reliability of laboratory results.
  8. Monitor and report any unusual or abnormal results to the appropriate medical staff.
  9. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, following all infection control guidelines.
  10. Participate in ongoing training and education to stay updated on new laboratory procedures and techniques.
  11. Provide excellent customer service to patients and their families, ensuring a positive experience.
  12. Comply with all hospital policies and procedures, including HIPAA regulations.
  13. Assist in the training of new laboratory technicians.
  14. Act as a team player, working collaboratively with colleagues to achieve department goals and objectives.
  15. Demonstrate a commitment to Mercy's mission and values in all aspects of the job.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Medical Laboratory Science Or Related Field.

  • Knowledge Of Laboratory Equipment And Procedures, Including Specimen Collection, Processing, And Analysis.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience Working In A Clinical Laboratory Setting.

  • Strong Attention To Detail And Ability To Maintain Accurate Records.

  • Ability To Work Night Shifts And Adapt To Changing Work Schedules, Including Weekends And Holidays.
