  1. Manage and maintain inventory of medical instruments and supplies.
  2. Ensure that all instruments and supplies are properly stocked and available for use.
  3. Conduct regular inventory audits to ensure accuracy and identify any discrepancies.
  4. Collaborate with medical staff to understand their instrument and supply needs.
  5. Place orders for new instruments and supplies when needed.
  6. Keep accurate and up-to-date records of inventory levels and usage.
  7. Coordinate with vendors to ensure timely delivery of new supplies.
  8. Maintain a clean and organized inventory storage area.
  9. Inspect and test instruments to ensure they are in good working condition.
  10. Troubleshoot and repair any damaged or malfunctioning instruments.
  11. Train new staff on proper instrument handling and storage procedures.
  12. Follow all safety and infection control protocols when handling and storing instruments.
  13. Communicate any inventory needs or issues to hospital management.
  14. Stay updated on new medical instruments and supplies and make recommendations for improvement.
  15. Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures related to inventory management.

  • Proficiency In Instrumentation: The Ideal Candidate Should Possess In-Depth Knowledge And Understanding Of Various Types Of Instruments Used In A Healthcare Setting, Including But Not Limited To Surgical Instruments, Medical Equipment, And Diagnostic Tools.

  • Inventory Management Experience: A Strong Background In Inventory Management Is Essential For This Role, As The Instrument Technician Will Be Responsible For Maintaining Accurate Records, Tracking Supplies, And Ordering New Inventory As Needed To Ensure The Smooth Operation Of The Facility.

  • Attention To Detail: In A Fast-Paced Healthcare Environment, Even The Smallest Errors Can Have Serious Consequences. The Candidate Must Be Highly Detail-Oriented And Able To Maintain Accurate Records And Inventory Levels To Ensure The Safety And Well-Being Of Patients.

  • Technical Skills And Troubleshooting Abilities: The Instrument Technician Will Be Responsible For Troubleshooting And Repairing Various Types Of Medical Equipment And Instruments.
