- Maintain Cleanliness: The primary responsibility of the Housekeeper will be to ensure that all areas of the facility, including patient rooms, common areas, and restrooms, are kept clean and sanitized. This includes dusting, mopping, vacuuming, and disinfecting surfaces.
- Organize and Stock Supplies: The Housekeeper will be responsible for organizing and restocking cleaning supplies, linens, and other amenities to ensure that they are readily available for staff and patients.
- Follow Safety Protocols: The Housekeeper will be expected to adhere to all safety protocols and procedures, including handling and disposing of hazardous materials and following infection control guidelines.
- Attention to Detail: As a detail-oriented individual, the Housekeeper will be responsible for identifying and addressing any cleanliness or maintenance issues within the facility promptly.
- Communicate Effectively: The Housekeeper will be required to communicate effectively with other staff members, including reporting any issues or concerns to the appropriate supervisor.
- Work in a Fast-Paced Environment: Mercy is a busy healthcare facility, and the Housekeeper will be expected to work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Uphold Quality Standards: The Housekeeper will be responsible for upholding high-quality standards of cleanliness and organization throughout the facility, ensuring that all areas are maintained to the highest level.
- Provide Exceptional Customer Service: As a representative of Mercy, the Housekeeper will be expected to provide exceptional customer service to patients and staff, responding promptly and courteously to any requests or concerns.
- Work as Part of a Team: The Housekeeper will collaborate with other members of the facility's housekeeping team to ensure that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
- Adhere to Schedule: The Housekeeper will be expected to adhere to a set schedule and be punctual for shifts, ensuring that all cleaning tasks are completed on time.
Excellent Communication And Customer Service Skills
High School Diploma Or Equivalent Education
Strong Attention To Detail And Time Management Skills
Previous Experience In Housekeeping Or Janitorial Services
Ability To Lift Up To 50 Pounds And Perform Physical Tasks Such As Bending, Reaching, And Standing For Extended Periods Of Time
