
Health Information Technician
Mercy is looking for a Health Information Technician who has the drive and expertise to maintain and protect the security of our patient records. We are seeking an individual who understands the importance of patient privacy and who is committed to providing the highest quality of care. The ideal candidate will possess a keen eye for detail and a willingness to ensure that all patient records are accurately documented and stored.The qualified candidate will have a minimum of an Associate’s Degree in Health Information Management, Medical Coding, or a related field. In addition, at least one year of experience in a healthcare setting is preferred. This position requires familiarity with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems, coding, abstracting, and medical terminology. The successful candidate will also possess strong organizational and communication skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Finally, the ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to patient safety and confidentiality.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain the security and accuracy of patient records.

- Identify and document details in patient records accurately.
- Store patient records securely.
- Possess familiarity with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems, coding, abstracting, and medical terminology.
