
Health Information Technician
Mercy is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Health Information Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in the maintenance and accuracy of patient medical records. The ideal candidate must demonstrate a passion for providing exceptional customer service while working in a team-oriented environment.The Health Information Technician will be responsible for a variety of tasks related to patient admissions, transfers, and discharges. This includes ensuring accuracy of patient records, verifying and updating patient demographics, and processing medical records in accordance with state and federal regulations.Qualifications for this position include an Associate’s degree in Health Information Technology or related field, with at least two years of experience in a medical office setting. Knowledge of medical terminology and coding is preferred. Candidates must be detail-oriented and possess excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. The successful candidate must also demonstrate a commitment to patient confidentiality.
